On February 21, 2026, the St. Jude’s Primary School campus was transformed into a hub of activities for the 3rd staging of our Community Health Fair, in partnership with the University of the West Indies, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Interprofessional Outreach Committee and the St, Jude’s Primary School. The event aimed to provide accessible health services to families, promote preventive care, and strengthen community engagement.
The fair saw over 200 patrons registered, including both adults and children, reflecting the community’s strong interest in maintaining and improving their health. Participants benefited from a wide range of onsite medical services. A total of 113 medical consultations were conducted, giving attendees the opportunity to consult with healthcare professionals about their personal health concerns. Pharmaceutical support was also available, with 80 prescriptions filled, ensuring that individuals received the medications they needed without cost barriers. Dental care was another high-demand service, with 74 dental patients served, highlighting the value of oral health outreach in the community. Vision services rounded out the day’s offerings, as 76 optical clients were seen by specialists providing screenings and assessments.
The success of the health fair underscores the importance of community-based health initiatives. By bringing essential services directly to residents in a familiar environment, the event helped remove barriers to care and empowered families to take proactive steps toward healthier lifestyles.
The organizers extend heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, medical partners, and community members who contributed to making the 2026 Community Health Fair a meaningful and impactful event for everyone involved.
